Terrorists celebrate sallah in Sambisa Forest (VIDEO)
Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday, June 25, 2017, celebrated sallah in the Sambisa Forest, according to a new video.
In the video, which was obtained by Sahara Reporters, the terrorists spread out on a field, observing the Eid prayers.
The insurgents are believed to be loyalists of the group's factional leader Abubakar Shekau.
The section of the forest in which the celebration took place is yet to be ascertained.
But the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai insists the Sambisa Forest area has collapsed, stressing that the troops has recorded success in the anti-Boko Haram war in the North-East.
Buratai stated this on Friday, June 30, at the army's 154th anniversary at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.
The video, which lasted for nine minutes also shows a terrorist, showed a man bearing the sect's flag and training on a horse inside the forest.
A child terrorist, presumably 12 years old, was also captured with an AK-47 rifle and pledging allegiance to Boko Haram.
The boy terrorist said, "My message to all the infidels of this world, listen. You are saying you have finished us; it is a lie, we are here and you have not finished us. Now you will begin to see us and we have just started this war."
The sect has continued to carry out deadly attacks on villages in Borno State despite several claims by the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration that the terrorists have been defeated.
