D’Banj Sues His Rape Accuser Seyitan For N1.5billion

D’Banj Sues His Rape Accuser Seyitan For N1.5billion: Nigerian singer, D’banj through his lawyer has sued his rape accuser, Seyitan for 1.5 billion.

The singer served Miss Seyitan Babatayo the court papers through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome(SAN), demanding that she pay one billion naira representing general, damages over the untold embarrassment, derision, public ridicule, odium, obloquy, marital disharmony, mental agony and psychological trauma which the defendant’s tweets have caused the claimant.

Also, an order was made, directing the defendant to pay the claimant the sum of five hundred million naira only representing aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages.

Recall that Miss Seyitan had earlier released her press statement stating how she was arrested by the police on D’banj’s team’s orders and held against her will in an unknown place where she was intimidated and made to sign some compliance under duress and also made to delete some inditing tweets against the singer.

The police also released their report that they made no arrest and they denied ever doing such. They further said that they invited her to Abuja to write a statement of which she never showed up.

Seyitan is yet to respond to the court serving and hopefully she does this soon and clears the air. Stay tuned while we bring you more updates.
